Collect bat echolocation calls with researcher Shannon Pederson while walking around a wildlife sanctuary.  If you attended her talk in August, you know that Shannon blends a contagious enthusiasm for bats with a thorough understanding their life history and the technology used to study them.  This is a wonderful chance to accompany her in the field.

Leader: Shannon Pederson has eight years experience catching and studying bats.  Currently, she's working on her PhD at the University of Maryland, which focuses on the effects of urban landscapes on bat species and their activity.
