For March’s club meeting, we will meet in person at the NHSM. April will be giving a short talk about archaeological context and procedures, followed by some hands-on activities for all ages. We will have broken (modern) ceramics to piece back together to simulate archaeological reconstruction, a worksheet on archaeological context, and coloring pages about Maryland history. We will also be brainstorming ideas for the club!
This meeting will take place in person at the museum, but a Zoom option is also available for those who prefer to participate virtually. You will receive the Zoom info when you register.
Natural History Society of Maryland’s Archaeology Club promotes the value of archaeology in Baltimore City, Baltimore County, and surrounding areas. The goal of the Archaeology Club is to educate citizenry in the ethics, methods, and artifact preservation methods of archaeology and how archaeology can be used to document, discover, and promote local history. The Archaeology Club is inclusive to all persons who have an interest in archaeology.
