Get your birding on with this explorative paddle around Jug Bay, one of the most important freshwater tidal estuaries in the Chesapeake Bay region, which provides some of the best birding in Maryland. More than 250 species have been recorded here and more than 100 of those are confirmed as nesting. Jug Bay is a site of statewide importance for bird conservation as its extensive tidal freshwater wetlands support important populations of freshwater marsh bird species such as least bittern, sora, and Virginia rail.

This trip is great for all levels of paddlers. Our canoes seat 2 adults, so individuals will be paired up with another paddler – if you are not comfortable paddling with a stranger, sign-up with a buddy! Children signed up may sit in the middle of the canoe. Please wear comfortable clothing and footwear that you don’t mind getting wet or dirty.

CANCELLATION POLICY – Refunds available if cancellations are made greater than 7 days prior to trip.

Specific trip information will be provided upon registration. Please contact Lauren with any additional questions.
