In this beginners class, you will learn how to start your basket using a drilled wooden base (made from local trees) and then how to coil long-leaf pine needles using waxed (linen) thread. Next you’ll move on to shaping, so you can create a small basket. Then we will cover finishing techniques and different stitches, so you can take home a completed small pine needle basket.
