Wild Edible Walk with Nick Spero in Herring Run Park

  • Due to construction there is no parking in the main area of Herring Run Park. Please find parking off Parkside Drive on Juneau Place and Tyndale Avenue. Please meet at the trail head located across the street from 3203 Parkside Drive

  • Wild edibles offer a variety of health benefits to you and add unique flavors and textures to your meals. Join Nick Spero for a walk to learn about wild edibles available in the summer. He’ll show you the plants you can pick and nibble along the way, as well as those that you need to bring home to prepare for a meal. You will also learn how to forage in a safe and sustainable manner.

    Chanterelle, Chicken of the Woods, Lions Manes mushrooms should be available around this date and Nick will instruct you on their identification.

    Cost: $15 per person. You must prepay to attend. Follow the link below or cut and paste address into the address bar on your computer.
