NATURE CONNECTIONS: Wild Edibles

Have you ever wondered what plants you could eat? At this months free Nature Connections we will be exploring wild edibles.  Anyone can find, prepare, and enjoy wild foods with proper training and enough time. Come to the Natural History Society of Maryland and meet some local foragers!

Special Presentation: 1:15pm/Nick Spero will talk about Ethical Foraging Practices and lead a cooking demonstration.  He will talk about a host of wild edible plants that are available at this time of year.  He'll convey the ease of integrating wild edibles into our diet--both for the fun of foraging and the pleasure of cooking wild food for their unique flavors and health benefits.

You can view a video produced by NPR about Nick here:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z1xwtvP9Vls
