There is a lot of life scurrying around without our ever seeing it. With the use of compound microscopes, we will look at a variety of protists – that large, but often overlooked group of life, some
algae and even tardigrades. Explore the microscopic world in this hands-on workshop.

NHSM Members: $30

Non-Members: $40

Instructor: Christa (Chris) Partain is a lecturer of biology and environmental science at Towson University and Maryland Institute College of Art. Her specialty is plants, but after teaching biodiversity, she enjoys sharing her love for smaller members on the tree of life.
