Please join us, Martin Schmidt, and the Maryland Space Grant Consortium Observatory on the evening of Friday, February 28th from 6 PM to 8 PM for a astronomy lecture, space object observing, and a private viewing in the observatory with telescopes!

If all the right atmospheric and climatic conditions are in place, we should be able to see the Moon, Venus and the Orion Nebula…you don’t want to miss this!

From 6 to 7, NHSM’s own Martin Schmidt will lead an astronomy lecture on objects we can see in the sky. After that, from 7 to 8, we will have a private viewing in the observatory using a 20′ reflecting telescope.. After that, the observatory is open to the public, and you are welcome to stick around.

Please contact Vanessa at vlubiner@marylandnature.org with any questions.

Once registered, you’ll receive more information about parking and transportation. The observatory is on the Johns Hopkins campus. Bloomberg Center, 3400 N Charles St, Baltimore, MD 21218.
