Fossil Club Field Trip to Douglas Point in Purse State Park

Join us for a hike along the Potomac at Douglas Point, Purse State Park, in Charles County, southern Maryland. Douglas Point is a well known collecting site for shark teeth, ray pavements, and other marine fossils.

Purse State Park is approximately 2 hours from Baltimore. Directions will be sent upon registration.

Meet onsite at 10AM. Low tide is at 11:30AM.

Public Parking is limited, with space for only 10 cars.

It is a short wooded walk to the beach.

This site is dog friendly and child friendly, though be advised that there are no public amenities.
