Are you a scientist or a naturalist? We need your help!

Join us in wrapping up City Nature Challenge 2022. You and your team will go through iNaturalist observations from the Baltimore area CNC. You mission is to either confirm or correct observations made by City Nature Challenge participant. In order for an observation to be considered research grade, it needs to have a photo, specific date and time, a location, and 2/3 reviewer consensus. Research grade observations are entered into a global database and can be utilized by scientists to make local management plans, monitor rare and invasive species populations, monitor effects of climate change and much more!

Possible teams include:

– Birds
– Mammals
– Herps
-Fish
– Insects
– Arachnids, Millipedes, Centipedes
– Plants
– Fungi
– Other (mollusks and crustaceans)

Field guides will be available to use. Please bring your smartphone or laptop.

COVID PROTOCOLS: Masks are now optional. NHSM will continue to monitor the public health landscape and may make changes in accordance with CDC, state and local guidance.
