NHSM Herp Club member Howdy Knipp discovered this incredible beaver dam pond near Bush Cabin Run off Gunpowder Falls last year. He describes it as a “herpers’ paradise.”

It’s a 35-minute hike from the Masemore Lot. We’ll have to cross a stream and get wet, and there may be some crawling, scampering, and climbing. Be sure to wear long pants and sensible shoes. Bring nets if you’ve got ’em! A machete for cutting through dense vegetation is also recommended.

This excursion is limited to only 10 participants. You must be a current member of the NHSM Herp Club to sign up.

Meeting Location: Masemore Lot, Gunpowder Falls (Northern Baltimore County). Exact GPS co-ordinates will be provided to all registered participants before the day of the trip.

This trip will take place rain or shine, although severe weather such as thunderstorms may affect it. We’ll notify you if the trip is canceled or postponed.
